Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra started getting a November 2024 security update in the US. Verizon released the latest security patch to the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphones.

Verizon revealed Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and other two models get AXJA update with November 2024 security patches. You can check more specific information about the latest software below.

Software Information:

  • Galaxy S24 5G – S921USQS4AXJA
  • Galaxy S24+ 5G – S926USQS4AXJA
  • Galaxy S24 Ultra 5G – S928USQS4AXJA

Changelog:

  • The current software update provides the most up-to-date Android security patches on your device.

While the major update will take time coming out for Verizon models, the carrier is ensuring the flagships are updated with the latest security improvements by patching flaws discovered until October 2024.

Update Now: Settings -> Software Update -> Download and install.

Before you install, do remember to backup your device. I had a weird issue with my S23 Ultra in the recent past, where it was bricked after installing the newly arrived software update.

To reduce the chances of installation failure, keep your device charged above 65%. Connect your phone to an unmetered internet connection to avoid download delay or failure as well as avoid charges.

One UI 7 Beta and Stable:

Samsung still testing One UI 7 Beta for the S24 series. The Beta Program is set to start by the end of this year. Whereas, the Stable rollout could start sometime in February next year, following the S25 series debut.

As far as I know, Verizon won’t open One UI 7 Beta for Samsung flagships. That said, you will have to wait till the official rollout pushes, which won’t kick off before the Galaxy S25 series unveiling next year.
