Every smartphone maker launches their handsets with their specific designs and now manufacturers are moving towards Slim designs. Apple was the first to lead the news of Slim phone and now it is heard that Samsung is also working on a Slim model for its Galaxy.

According to ETNews, Samsung is considering releasing a Slim model as a follow-up to the Galaxy S25 series, recently launched Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is also emphasizes thinness. Whereas, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is 8.6 mm thick.

Insiders claim, Samsung recently added a ‘Slim’ variant to the Galaxy S25 series, and they may be launched in smaller quantities to gauge market response and make changes in the upcoming lineup.

If Samsung makes a Slim Galaxy phone then the company will create a limited stock of the phone to gauge market response, and if it gets a good response, it will consider changing the Galaxy S26 series in 2026.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 series is scheduled to be released in the first quarter of next year with stable version of One UI 7. As per reports, the Galaxy’s Slim model (Galaxy S Slim) is expected to debut in the second quarter of 2025.

It seems Samsung has decided it’s time to make a noticeable change. Notably, it is understood that this decision was taken because its rival Apple is also knowing to adopt a slimmer iPhone next year for the same reason.

Apple is on the cusp of adding a Slim phone to its portfolio, which could be introduced next fall. Apple’s Slim model is expected to be much thinner than other iPhones and will have a screen size of around 6.56 inches.
