The wait is over. Samsung’s next flagship reveal has a date. After weeks of speculation, the Galaxy S26 series now has a confirmed launch window that should have fans circling their calendars, even if the fine print raises some eyebrows.
February 2026
Earlier this month, Ice Universe, citing Korean media, pinpointed February 25, 2026 as the unveiling date for the Galaxy S26 lineup. The event will take place in San Francisco, keeping with Samsung’s tradition of stateside Unpacked events for its flagship S series.
But here’s where it gets interesting.
Evan Blass, another heavyweight tipster with a track record that borders on prophetic, doubled down on the claim with language that left zero room for doubt. “The date of 25 February is 100% correct. You can take it to the bank,” Blass posted on X.
When someone like Blass uses that kind of certainty, you listen. This isn’t speculation anymore. It’s a done deal.
March 2026
If the launch date is set in stone, the availability window is equally clear. Multiple sources point to early March as the retail debut for the S26 series. That puts Samsung on a slightly later track compared to the Galaxy S25, which hit shelves in late February last year.
For Samsung, this means the Galaxy S26 series will need to make a compelling case right out of the gate. No grace period. No slow burn. It’s launch, deliver, and dominate, or risk losing momentum to competitors who are sharpening their own knives.

Galaxy S26 leaks and rumors
Now for the part that fans might find hard to swallow. According to multiple reports, Samsung is planning to raise prices across the Galaxy S26 lineup in Korea. Yes, you read that right. Higher prices. And no, there aren’t major hardware upgrades to justify the bump.
A global memory shortage that has sent component costs through the roof. DRAM and NAND prices have spiked over the past six months, squeezing margins for every major manufacturer. Samsung isn’t immune to these pressures, and rather than absorb the hit, the company appears ready to pass it along to consumers.
The Galaxy S26 series is shaping up to be an incremental update at best. Early leaks suggest familiar design language, modest camera tweaks, and processor upgrades that, while solid, won’t blow anyone away.
Raising prices without delivering meaningful innovation is a risky play, especially when consumer patience is already thin after years of inflationary pricing.
Wait or walk?
If you’re on the fence about upgrading, you have options. Wait until February 25 and see what Samsung actually announces at Unpacked 2026. The company has surprised the industry before, and there’s always a chance the final product exceeds expectations.
Alternatively, consider hunting for deals on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Retailers will likely discount last year’s flagship once the S26 series drops, and given the lack of major hardware changes, the S25 Ultra might offer better value.
One thing is certain: Samsung has the spotlight for February and March. Whether it capitalizes on that attention, or fumbles it with questionable pricing, remains to be seen.
