Google has just dropped the all-new December 2024 Feature update for all eligible Pixel devices, including the Pixel 6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7, 7 Pro, 7a, Tablet, Fold, 8, 8 Pro, 8a, 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, and 9 Pro Fold.
The latest Drop makes your Pixel devices more intelligent, helpful, and intuitive with new ways to use Gemini, camera improvements, and security updates. It also brings beloved features to new markets.
Starting today, all supported Pixel devices will receive the December 2024 update, and the rollout of these new features will continue in phases over the coming weeks, depending on the carrier and device.

In addition to these monthly Pixel updates, Google launched the first developer preview of Android 16 (Baklava) in November. The preview carries a new photo picker, medical record support, and more privacy tools.
According to the Android 16 rollout roadmap, Google may release the Android 16 second DP program this month. The Beta version may start in January 2025 and the official version may be released after April 2025, possibly on June 3.
