Apple offering free repair if your iPhone 14 Plus is impacted by a rear camera issue. On November 1st, the company announced a new service program, pledging free repair support to select iPhone 14 Plus users.
A “very small percentage” of iPhone 14 Plus models are affected by rear camera issues, which may cause them to show no camera preview. Apple says the affected models were produced between April 10th, 2023, and April 28th, 2024.
Apple made claiming free rear camera repair quite easier for iPhone 14 Plus users. The iPhone maker published a dedicated page to check if your iPhone is covered under the service program.
The iPhone 14 Plus was launched in September 2022 along with the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The iPhone 14 Plus models affected by the camera issue were produced for around a year.
Simply put, Apple’s website allows you to check whether your iPhone 14 Plus is affected by inputting your serial number. Impacted models will be repaired at an authorized Apple service center free of charge.
The service program covers eligible models for three years. There are many cases where the iPhone 14 Plus has a camera issue and got their phone repaired. If you’ve got a paid repair over the same issue, Apple will provide you with a refund after your request submission.
Your iPhone will be examined prior to any service to verify that it is eligible for this program.
