Apple’s iOS 18.2 brings Genmoji, Visual Intelligence, ChatGPT in Siri, and more

Today, Apple has officially released the iOS 18.2 update, introducing a brand-new set of Apple Intelligence features that will elevate users’ experience with the iPhone, and build on the first set of capabilities already introduced.

Apple Intelligence has become more feature-ful and advanced with the iOS 18.2 update, featuring enhancements to Image Playground, Genmoji, Writing Tools, seamless support for ChatGPT, and visual intelligence.

iPhone users can now explore creative new ways to express themselves visually with Image Playground, create the perfect emoji for any situation with Genmoji, and make their writing even more dynamic with new enhancements to Writing Tools.

The iOS 18.2 update brings a Visual Intelligence feature based on Apple Intelligence, allowing iPhone 16 or iPhone 16 Pro users to instantly learn about their surroundings through Visual Intelligence along with camera controls.

And now with ChatGPT integrated into Writing Tools and Siri, users can tap into ChatGPT’s expertise without having to switch between apps, helping them get things done faster and easier than ever before.

Apple Intelligence also begins language expansion with localized English support for Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, and the U.K. Additional languages will be coming throughout the year, with an initial set arriving as an update in April.

Currently, Apple Intelligence is available on iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max. Additionally, Apple has said that Apple Intelligence features will be available in the EU starting this April.
