Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim emerges, 200MP ‘Ultra’ camera likely

Galaxy S24

Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim emerged for the first time in IMEI database. Shortly after, a credible leaker hinted at S25 Ultra-like 200MP camera feature on the sleeker model.

GSMA IMEI database listed Samsung‘s SM-S937U as a “Galaxy” device. It’s the fourth model that could come out as Galaxy S25 Slim besides the vanilla S25, S25 Plus and S25 Ultra.

Smartprix reports that Samsung could introduce the SM-S937U in the next six months. It aligns with a previous rumor citing April 2025 debut for the S25 Slim.

The Galaxy S25 family will indeed include three models. As a flagship camera rumored for S25 Slim, it could not come as a replacement to the Galaxy S25 FE.

Samsung ships its 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP2 image sensor with the Galaxy S23 Ultra and S24 Ultra as well as the Galaxy Z Fold SE. The next Galaxy S Ultra is expected to bring the same sensor, for the third time in a row.

Meanwhile, another tipster Jukanlosreve opposed the 200MP camera rumor, claiming that the company has not yet confirmed any of the S25 Slim specifications.

Earlier, South Korea’s ETNews revealed Samsung’s plan to rival the Apple iPhone 17 Air. Apple is almost confirmed to replace the next Plus branded iPhone with a new slim variant.

The iPhone 17 Air could outpace the iPhone 17 Pro Max in terms of pricing. The phone, meanwhile, have a single rear camera with a different design than Apple’s usual design philosophy.

Will you wait for the Galaxy S25 Slim?

Samsung could bring a brand-new camera design to the Galaxy S25 Slim. I assume it as the company is rumored to be testing potential Galaxy S26 design revamp with the Galaxy S25 Slim in limited volume of quantities.

Galaxy Z Fold SE is a big hit, featuring notable upgrades over the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The Galaxy S25 models will bring pro-grade hardware and improved One UI software for Galaxy consumers.

Despite these reasons, will you consider waiting for the S25 Slim?
